Logan's First Movie

Logan Goes to the Movie Theatre for the First Time

Logan showed us he was a big boy when we took him to a movie. "We saw Horton Hears a Who!" and he did so well. I think he was shocked at how big the screen was and the loud speakers, BUT he got his popcorn, candy, and icee so he was enjoying the moment. He lasted almost through the whole thing, but I think the movie got boring for him! I was actually glad to leave, it seemed sooooo long... but a nice day out for Jon and I.

Cali with Makenzie

Sun,Fun, California

Makenzie and I headed to California for a few days to visit my cousins. We had a great mommy and daughter time (missed daddy and Logan) doing a ton of stuff and enjoying the nice cool weather.
We stayed on the beach in Santa Monica. Just a short walk to Venice, where we got a taste of the "locals" it was a entertaining freak show, I LOVED IT!
Since its my 10th wedding anniversary in August I thought I would step outside my box and get a "Jon" tattoo. It is something small and in a place on my hip really nobody can see. I have a tattoo around my ankle that I hate, my Mom let me do when I was 16 (thanks a bunch Mommy). I would get it removed if it would not leave a mark. I do wear jeans a lot so you cant see it often.
We rode the carousel, shopped, walked the boardwalk, hair beading, enjoyed the nightlife, laid out on the beach until it was too cold, collected seashells(Makenzies favorite as she has them from around the world she has picked up). It was a nice get away...and a little fun rolled up in one 3 day trip.

Father Daughter Weekend In Vegas

What Happens In Vegas... Gets Blogged

Every year my sister and I celebrate Father Daughter Day. This year we included our youngest sister (it was something special between Dad and us from before she was born).

We flew on the private plane to Vegas, went to see The Beatles LOVE show, my favorite, Phantom of the Opera, and Blue Man Group (which was a few hrs in my life I can never get back, it was horrible).
We had a blast shopping, hanging in the suite, spa day,and getting to spend time with our father. It was a fast trip, but well worth it! xoxox

Shawna and I are going to Africa

"I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to accept whatever he wants"

(Luke 1:38)

AFRICA HERE WE COME, WATCH OUT!

Shawna and I signed up on a mission to Uganda, Africa. We are going with Hope For Kids. Its a great cause and we are very much needed there. Here are a few pictures of us getting our first set of shots, OUCH...but in the end worth it! Plus I need these shots to go get our adopted daughter from Ethiopia, so the ouch factor plays 2 parts!
