Misc. Picture Update

“Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul; the blueprints of your ultimate achievements." Nopaleon Hill

I have been so bad about posting on the blog, life just seems to be going by so fast. I wake up and I feel like a blink has gone by and I am giving the kids a bath for bedtime.I finally sat down and posted a little. I have been taking pictures so here are some misc. of the kids. I just love bows, you know me! I think yellow is a good color for Aslynn, it looks good with her! She is growing up so fast, I dont think they have her age right, I think she is older then what they say, she is just so good and fits in so well with the family, we just love her to death. We are blessed and now waiting for Bryce to enter our lives. :)

Valentines Day

This year for Valentines day we thought we would stay home and enjoy the nice weather outside with the kids. We spent the day having a picnic at the park, playing and just enjoying the day! So relaxing and nice to do something without the crazy busy life rushing by you!

Roses From Dad

On Valentines Day I got a beautiful arrangement of roses and a sweet note from my Dad. As kids we would get something every year delivered, and then just out of the blue he sends me flowers, I though it was cute. I should have taken the picture when I first got them not when they were about the die... but I did snap a pic!

Time Flies

The time you think you're missing, misses you too. ~Ymber Delecto

Where have I been? I know I know, I ask myself this nightly! I need to get online more and post, and get back to my blogging, I have not had anytime since we came back from Addis. Aslynn is great and 3 kids is not that major of a difference to me than having 2. I am just having to lug around diapers and bottles, but Aslynn is such a sweet little thing and she is growing like a weed, so not that little I should say. She just turned 8 months and still sticks that tongue out. I took her to a specialist and he said that its FINE and she will grow into it OR she will just stick it in when she sees it getting HOT IN AZ and it gets dry, HA HA. Besides that info the doctor was a complete jerk! I have had my racial comments from people, the looks, even the people stopping me and "just had to ask" which at first was strange and now I just DON'T CARE. I just don't want Aslynn to grow up and me having to still tell people that she is adopted because in my mind she is not, she is my own daughter, you know what I mean? This doctor first would not touch her until he asked me 3 times if she was HIV positive and if I had her tested in the states, HOW RUDE, he pressed on her tongue so hard it bleed, the list goes on and I was so happy to walk out of there. First I thought, well maybe its ALL IN MY HEAD, you know Leah.... NOPE Makenzie made a comment on how the doctor was mean and mommy I don't have to see him right?! OK when your almost 6yr says that, its not in my head.
What else has been going on here? You would not even believe me if I wrote it, so I don't even know if its worth the type. Its straight out of a SOAP OPERA, I would have to sit down and drink a few 5 hour energy drinks (and if you know me I am a hyper spaz anyway) and then break down my life in a nutshell for the past 3 months. Then scoop you off the floor and do mouth the mouth to bring you back to life because really, you would die because things that happen to me DON'T HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE. I think I have a curse on me, HA HA really! My father even made a comment, and he is straight edge hardcore Christian business man... I was with him for a few days (and we never spend time together unless he "works me in, or I make a appointment") and he even said "we always thought you exaggerated Leah, the oddest things DO happen to you, and only you, its so strange" YEP PEOPLE ONLY ME. But hey, I think that God throws these curve balls at me to see if I can handle the situation well and of course I kick some butt... or it could just be evil coming into my life and trying to ruin it and that I say people, I also kick butt at. I know a little sassy today huh? I thought HEY I have a minute lets write!
I also really only mentioned a few times in the past and never made it this HUGE blog deal because I was focusing on Aslynn and did not want to pull my attention from her, but back in Sept. we submitted for another child from Ethiopia. After another dossier, going through a back and forth circus with my agency, we got our referral for a sweet little boy we are naming Bryce. He will be 1 yr old on March 15th, he is so tiny, aslynn is bigger than him and younger. The medical report says that he is just crawling, that breaks my heart as WOW he should be walking. His mom gave him up recently as she found out she has AIDS, but he is NEGATIVE for sure. He is a pretty boy, he could be a girl he is too cute. We are so excited and now just waiting for a court date and hopefully by the end of summer go and get him. Of course I don't want to fly back there, so Jon will go and scoop up my little snuggle buns!
Gosh I know that I have a ton more stuff to type, say, blab about that has been going on but really who wants to read all the rambles, ON TO THE PICTURES.... lets see if my bum will upload and update my blog! I am rooting for myself with this one!

Flowers, so sweet

"A Friend is an Angel minus the wings."

Of course you know who has to model the flowers off
OK I was surprised! You got me Mona... I NEVER get flowers, and the other day I was pulling out of the garage and I noticed a glass vase sitting by my front door. Which means someone tried to deliver something and I did not hear the door bell. I got out of the car and saw such a perfect bouquet of flowers that smelled so pretty. I thought, hummm what did super wife do lately to deserve this, my mind had to rattle a bit, and of course I could not think of anything out of the norm. ha ha, so I opened the card and they were from Mona, my really good friend that I met on the AA board. I was of course in tears, WHICH I DON'T cry. It was such a sweet thing for her to think of me. I have been having such a hard time lately with life, things going on, decision and just a load of crap I wont even get started here and I have not shared with anyone, but for some reason SHE knew and sent me flowers. SO I thank her so much, it made my day, and when I walk by them I think of her and the time she took out of her day to send me something from her heart just knowing that I was having some bad times and needing a pick me up. Could ya not tell, I have not blogged in forever, but hey I am back, lets see if I can keep up here! Thanks Mona, you are a great friend, you all are and thanks for being here for me!

Are ya ready for a poke?

Some candy,Icee, and sparkles on the ears, what better way to spend a Saturday!

Saturday Makenzie,Aslynn and I met up with Nina and Bella for a nice day at the mall and some ear piercing good times. It was time for miss princess buns to get her ears pierces. It was so fast and so simple. I really think she only cried because I was holding her still and she cried for a few seconds and then it was over. Of course Auntie Nina brought suckers so she got her first taste of candy and LOVED it, and then some sparkly earrings to top it off! :)

We walked around and hit the candy store for the girls, I saw wonka bars and it reminding me of "the golden ticket" so we had the lady take a picture of us, yes I am a nerd. And if you know me, I am addicted to Icee's and saw a big sign and had to SUCK on it, so Nina had to take a picture for my collection, hee heee giggle giggle. It was a great time and I have been so busy it was nice to see Nina again, refreshing to get out and enjoy life!

Girls Night Out

"You are only young once, after that you have to think of another excuse"

Jen and I had a girls night out, it was fun, I don't get to get out that much without having 3 kids and a diaper bag, so I stepped out of my shell and had a good time!

Bounce U

"Fun has U right in the middle of it."

Another b-day party at bounce u. The kids had a blast jumping playing and eating up a storm and have a good old time! We had to buy Logan a Bounce U shirt when we arrived because he got car sick and threw up on the way to the party, that was SUPER. :)

A few pictures

In every conceivable manner, the family is a link to our past, bridge to our future. ~Alex Haley

A few pictures at a birthday party we attended, it was cold out but with the fire going and the kids running around and a BBQ it was nice to get out and spend some time with other kids and adults,I just noticed I did not get a picture of Makenzie she must have been off playing and I did not get to snap a photo of her!

Road Runners Game

Hockey players have fire in their hearts and ice in their veins. ~Author Unknown

We took our friend Jen,her son, and our kids (minus the baby, too loud) to the suite to watch the Road Runners play hockey. The kids love when we take them to the games. Makenzie gets a kick out of the players when the fight or slam against the glass. Logan just loves to climb up and scream really loud. The mascot came over with his sign and we were even on the big screen, ME and the KIDS... Jon and Jen pooped out and did not jump in when the camera came by, but you know me, WHOO HOOO It was a fun night and the kids were past out by the time we got home!

Can I please post or what?

“Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans”
John Lennon quotes
Gosh I cant believe how behind I am on posting on my blog, it is so not like me, but I guess life just gets so busy. So much going on and I don't even have a minute to take a picture let alone sit down and type. I will though, and I will catch everyone up. We are all doing well, Jon's Dad has been here and not doing well health wise, so we have been figuring out whether to put him in a home, or have a nurse come and take care of him here in the guest room. Its a big decision, so a lot of thought goes into that.
Plus waiting on a referral for a son, yes another from Ethiopia, which has been a lot of work as our agency has had us start from the begining all over again and submit a whole new dossier even though our first one says we can have 2, and in Sept we asked for 2, he did not get the message to the right people, so of course we pay the price of that mistake and the COST, and have to pay the full price and start all over again, its been a huge cluster mess. Which is stressful and just plain a pain in the butt.
The kids are great, enjoying school, Makenzie of course tested higher at her new school, as she did at the last and is so bored at school. I am about to home school her for the rest of the year, even though I am SO NOT INTO THE IDEA, and then stick her back into private once she is in 1st grade. Logan loves preschool 2 times a week, and meeting new friends.
I have just been dealing with all of this and life in a nutshell. My friend Jen is moving into our rental house down the road, so I have been helping her start up her business from home, she is going to be doing a hair salon, which she rocks at hair and is a very high level, and can do so much and amazing work, you should see the color and cuts, its perfection! So we have been getting a salon started in the house, and getting the dryer, chairs washbowl sinks etc all together, its actually fun to have a project. So anyone in AZ need a great stylist, FYI me and you got someone awesome that can do ANYTHING and at a good price and I mean GOOD, at cost pretty much! Now she can stay at home, single mother of 3, and work.
It has been weird to go to my old house that we still own, and see it, its just doesn't feel the same, Makenzie went yesterday and kinda walked around and then walked to her old room and said hummm I think this was my room, I said YES, and she laughed and said YES and that was Logan's and just ran around the house. it was too cute. Life was so different in that house. It was our first house moving from Italy and our first house we bought since we were getting out of the army and when in the army we moved every 2 yrs so we never bought a house, we just moved and moved house to house. The house has some sentimental values, I brought Logan home from the hospital, he was conceived there, hee hee, Jon came home from Afghanistan there, the list can go on, people always say to sell it, but there is something still holding me to it, just this little something. Its nice to be able to let Jen live there and her to start her business and family there.
Ok enough rambling, gotta get 3 kids ready for the day, just a little blurb to wake ya up, and tell you yes Leah is alive and kickin! Still sassy as ever I need to get my buns back on here because I do have stuff to share and tell and blah blah blah ya know! love to ya ladies!
