Sunday we had a blast of a day! We met up with Nina and her crew... and went to the Phoenix Children's Museum. I think it is wonderful, I never heard of it before, and they have 3 floors of interactive "learning fun." Makenzie loved the crafts, Logan loved the old school wooden type toys activities and the balls that go around the whole place and make noise etc etc.
Everything was just really cool in my mind and the children's eyes.
Plus shopping in the grocery store, checkout line, ice cream shop, it was a fun full day. After they closed we headed over and had dinner with the Brown Family at Hard Rock Cafe, it was DEAD in there because it was a Sunday early evening, so our kids had the RUN OF THE JOINT which was nice to talk and hang out and they jammed to the music and checked out all the memorabilia.
Thanks Nina for another FUN FILLED day, more to come. I am glad our families "click."

I got a little treat in the mail

The language of friendship is not words but meanings. ~Henry David Thoreau

OK I never get surprises, so I had to post this one on the blog... I got a little something special from my board buddy Joy. Shockingly we live in the same state but are so busy with our adoptions and she home schools, we have not met up.. one day I am going to just pop over her home! So I got the mail yesterday and found some cute bows...THANK YOU JOY. It brightened the crazy week I had, and I needed a cheer up moment. We all know how I love my bows on the girls, so Aslynn will be set. Love the bows, love our friendship, I am blessed to have you!

Halloween 2008...Our Theme this year was Alice in Wonderland. Makenzie was Alice, Logan was the white Rabbit (its late its late), Jon was the Mad Hatter, and I was the Queen of Hearts.
We had fun trick or treating around the neighborhood. It was great to just have some family time the 4 of us and enjoy each other.

FINAL COURT DATE, APPROVED! PASSED, DONE!

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.Ephesians 1:4
God has pointed Jon and I into a direction we never thought our road would lead us, adoption. This journey has been a long, stressful, waiting game, but SO WORTH IT, as we know in our hearts that Aslynn is OUR DAUGHTER and this is what GOD desires from us. We open our hearts, our home, our family and religion to our new addition and we look forward to flying in December to bring her home. Thank you all for your support, love and friendship through our "journey to bring Aslynn home" it has been a bumpy road, but ONE that I HAD to go through to LEARN so many little life lessons and things that words couldn't describe. I can now post and share pictures of our daughter as the final court date just past, here is Aslynn Amira. I cant wait to get her home, give her a nice bubble bath, put her into some soft snugly clothes, of course put a BOW in her hair, and give her love, sing her songs and tell her how much we love her and have been waiting for her!

A LOT GOING ON

Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process
-Anne Wilson Schaef

So much going on, I have been up to my ears with family, friends, drama and the normal B.S. that invades my life daily. I will update, promise, as soon as life simmers down and I can actually breath.

BUT we DID PASS COURTS TODAY, and I will post a picture LEGALLY of Aslynn as now she is OURS and I cant wait to get her and bring her into this family.... well under this roof family... maybe not my crazy extended family... ha ha! I DID vote today, and the weather is actually COLD today, so I looked like the AZ freak in a tank top today, with flip flops on, but hey, I lived in Oregon too long I guess! xoxo

My Meet Up With Nina

The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had. ~Author Unknown

Ok you might all think I am a nut ball and yes at times, I might come across that way, Jon called me a couple of hundred times, and so did Nina' husband to make sure we were not meeting up with "to catch a pretender" and a 60 year old sicko was meeting up for lunch.
Nina came across my blog through another blog through another, and she is new to AZ and we clicked. SO we hung out yesterday! WE had lunch at "Carbin's" and did some shopping at Bella Amie and a cute baby boutique. Her husband works for Lund (throwing ya some biz out there as they have some GREAT DEALS EVERYONE RUSH TO LUND NOW NOW) and hung out there for awhile and just chatted. Come to find out, we have A LOT in common and God has brought this amazing woman into my life RIGHT when I needed her. MY life has felt like a crumbing building lately and the glue can no longer keep holding it together. And those hours we spent together were pure joy to have someone to chat with, listen and enjoy each others company.
Lets see if she calls for a "second date" ha ha!OF course I bring my camera, why not! :)
xoxo Nina, you brightened my day, thanks so much, it means more then you will understand
