Bryce Update

Our agency sent a doctor from the US Embassy to evaluate Bryce last month. Sorry such a delay of a update, I have been so busy. We got a full detailed report, so much more than when you adopt and get the monthly medical reports. The doctor even took pictures for me. She said Bryce has NO brain damage and is a healthy baby. It pretty much breaks down to him having crib syndrome and he just has zoned and blocked out the world and people since he does not get affection,touch,stimulation. He was dehydrated and that is why he was passing out on us, all the other things they say is from being at the orphanage for such a long time, a year now, and being in a crib, so he is delayed. They dedicated 1 nanny to him, and the owner of the orphanage has given me his word that he is being cared for,given fluids,and getting out of the crib more so he can catch up to his age.
Now its the journey to go back and get him. I have been so lucky to have met someone here in AZ that has helped with the VISA as I wrote before, it was not there when we went. SO even if we took him at that time, we couldn't as there was NO VISA at the Embassy.
She helped me and now the visa is there and I got a email confirmation from Addis.
Africa, here I come back to you again!

I turned 30,my birthday...

30 years old,family,sushi,and I am happy!

I turned 30! I know don't fall off your chairs while imagining my having to say "thirty" when someone asks how old I am. Actually, I never thought I would live this long, seriously...so I am pretty amazed.

We enjoyed the night by having sushi (of course) the restaurant sang,and I got to spend time with Jon and the kids. That's what puts a smile on my face and I am content! It was a great night and the kids love chopsticks, and of course dessert!

Someone turned ONE!

Miss Cutie Ethiopia Aslynn Amira turned ONE on June 22! I cant believe how fast time has flown by. We just did a small stay at home family night with dinner and a huge cupcake surrounded by cupcakes,singing,and sweets. Happy Birthday my sweet baby, may you have many more special days throughout life.

Fathers Day 2009 Jon woke up to the kids loving and jumping on him,Makenzie making her "breakfast" for Daddy,gift cards,a movie (which Aslynn did not last, I had to leave and come back and get them,short lived) and then dinner at a Irish Pub.

Jon you are a wonderful Father and Husband, amazing with the kids,I couldn't imagine a day without you in it. The minute you walk through the door and making sure each kid gets their time and attention with you is amazing to watch, have a special day,but everyday we appreciate all you have done and sacrificed for us. xoxo

Jon and I spent the day Saturday together, just the 2 of us. Its been so long to not have the 3 kids along, it was so nice. We had to stop at the cheesecake factory and get a ton of desserts and enjoy sharing them,running errands,sushi,talking, and just spending time together.It was a nice break.

The Wrench

New Uses For A Toy Wrench

Yesterday I was downstairs and Logan walks in with a grin on his face and hand behind his back. OK what was up. He reached his hand out to show me that he stuck his finger in the hole in his plastic wrench. It was stuck! I had to laugh, Makenzie was laughing, and he started to laugh!

It was kinda turning his finger red and blue, so I got lotion and lubed it up and then with a few twists and tugs, it came off.

It was a crack up and of course I don't think we will be putting our finger in plastic toys anymore.

Love Happens Only Once...The Rest Is Just Life

Blah talk..morning chat!

One week,one day until I turn 30.I think I had high expectations for myself, goals that I set awhile ago and now that the time is so close, I can honestly say,I have not done them all. I haven't had the time or the patience, and I really wanted to knock my projects out so I feel like HEY I ACTUALLY set out to do something by a time frame and I did it. OK, NOPE not working like that. Oh well, my father said to set my goal to 35, giving me another 5 years, HA!
Today I am debating to drive to the 1 hair place that sells a brand I want to try for Aslynn's hair. It's a little drive, but I feel the kids and I need out of the house, and what better for, princess cutie buns black hair products. My AZ board was talking about it, called Miss Jessie's for the curls and tangles. I thought I would try it out since everyone is raving about it.
I keep getting up at 3:13am every morning for the last few months, its so strange, I am getting so sick of it because I cant fall back asleep. If I was not so tired, I would actually get stuff done, so I just sit and think. Not that great of a thing. HA. Today I was thinking about Job in the bible, the last few days he has been on my mind as my cousin mentioned him when I was talking about so much negative and bad happening in my life. I think we tend to blame God for things going on around us, and then you think of Job that lost his heard, health was bad, 10 children died, and he just wanted God to explain WHY. He felt like he was being punished, when in reality, bad things just happen to good people that have done nothing to deserve it. After Job numerously asks God and demands answers to all the wrong in his life and curses to the Lord, God does finally explain and Job then covers his mouth and takes back all the bad he had muttered.
God than blesses Job with 10 more children, double herds and flocks,and he lived 140 yrs long enough to see 4 generations. If that is not a great blessing than I don't know what is.
I would love to live a long life if I knew I was not suffering. Jon and I talk all the time that we have literally such a short time together and here on earth. We need to enjoy each other,the children and what we have as it will be gone, time goes by so fast, 11 yrs has passed already, I don't know where it went since I first laid eyes on Jon.
Ok my blah talk rant whatever for the morning, I use to chat so much on here, and than just pics, and now I just thought, hey I would share my 3:13am thought :)

Yesterday I linked up my friend Sharon (who nannies my kids) and Joey (who I babysat when I was younger) at Miracle Mile for a lunch date. They are both young, single, and I thought, HEY why not let them meet and see how it goes. We had a great time eating talking and getting to know each other more. I was just in the middle while they chatted HEE HEE
Ya never know I could become the next match maker and get her own reality show!
It was fun, and of course I will keep the bloggers updated of any more meet ups! :)

Saturday Jon and I attended our friends Trish and Ray's 10 year wedding vow renewal. It was very pretty with the water fountains behind, her 2 boys walked her down to Ray and they both had such nice things to say since they had been together since High School. Sad to break the news my fellow friends, I am turning 30 on the 25th of June. I know I know I seem like I am still 16. Heart breaking I tell ya. My sister Shawna and Trystan threw me a birthday party at my fathers house last week which had the entertainment of a Murder Mystery Dinner. We were Surprised with a man coming in the front door from our High School back in the 60's and it was our reunion and he passed out parts of characters and everyone played along until the end when someone died and we had to figure out how and who did it. It was cute and funny to see the people dressed in their attire. I of course warned everyone that I would wear a formal dress and a crown, I don't think they took me seriously but HEY I did it! I also took a LONG pause after my birthday song to REALLY think of my WISH this year, I thought and thought and thought hard and long, it was annoying even to me, but then decided and blew out my candle HEE HEE HAA HAA It was a good night with great catered food, tons of candy from the candy bar, friends, family,and most of all fun. Thanks everyone for sharing a special moment with me and hey, I still have a little time in my 20's before I hit the 30's!
