"I have always loved the beach. The smell of the salty water, the wind in my face, the gentle roar of the waves all combine to create a sense
of peace and calm."
We spent a wonderful week at Atlantis in the Bahamas. The first day we took 2 boats (we had 45 family members) to a private island that we rented and enjoyed feeding the iguanas, basking in the sun, feeding stingrays that just came up to you, sharks, snorkeling, a BBQ,swimming, building sand castles. The island had a big hog on it, which was too funny, hermit crabs, a cat that bit Makenzie :) A open bar hut that served the best drinks that we all enjoyed, a awesome crew that made a great video of the whole group of us from the crazy boat ride to us pulling in a shark that we were feeding a fish head to.
On the way back to the Resort we got stuck in a rain storm and had to put on rain coats, oh my gosh, Logan slept through the whole thing and I had to put a coat over him on my lap and my head, I was so claustrophobic and all I could hear is crazy Jon screaming "bring it on, WHOOO WHOO yes yes" He is a NUT, in the middle of nowhere, but it was a experience and a blast. I say that island was the best day ever. When in the world are you ever going to rent a private island for 45 family members to bum around, eat, drink, and play?

I love all the pictures!!! Looks like so much fun! I have tried to call you a week before we left on vaca but didn't hear back but it was probably because you were in Bahamas. We went to the Boulders resort. How far are you from that? It's in Carefree, borderline Scottsdale.
Looks amazing - and that cracks me up that your dad was feeding the iguannas grapes! How fun for the kids to see the sharks and sting rays! When Jordan saw that picture of Kenzie and the sting ray he said, "Watch out Kenzie!" You look great and so relaxed!
